beard = folk

I have a beard. A goatee beard to be precise.

I use a beard trimmer to trim my beard. My beard trimmer broke.

I went to amazon.co.uk to check out the price of a new beard trimmer. I found one that I liked, and went into the details on it.

And then I spotted something that hurt me.

In the bit where Amazon says “people who bought this also bought…” there was a single entry. For a folk CD called “That’s Proper Folk!”

I don’t know what annoys me more – the fact that Amazon pairs up beard trimmers with folk CDs, or that some beardy twat obviously went onto Amazon and bought a beard trimmer and
folk CD at the same time, thereby confirming all the stereotypes. I bet his shopping cart had sandals in it as well.

(I’ve subsequently bought a new beard trimmer, but not from Amazon. Ha! Take that anti-beard corporate whores!)
