the monarchy

18 April 2008 in moan moan moan

Recently Prince William completed his basic Royal Air Force training. At some point he’ll be king (just a couple of dead monarchs to go), and part of the job is head of the armed forces, so he’s going through basic training for all three services to give him an idea of what they do. Seems reasonable enough – a bit of forethought there.

However, as king he will also be head of the Church of England, Defender of the Faith, etc etc. Does this mean that he’ll be undergoing basic vicar training as well?

I don’t know what vicar training entails, but presumably it includes strict rules on not grooming altar boys as personal buggery machines. Which is always good advice for a future king.
