This one’s a killer.

You can buy personalised license plates for cars, right? And the good ones cost a fortune.

Why can’t you do the same with email addresses? Buying and selling premium email addresses – it’s the future!

So, my name is Mike. Currently my email address is mike -dot- bygrave -at- gmai1 – dot- com. Pretty good as it is. But what if I wanted the email address mike@yahoo.com. Or fergie@manuted.com? Or maybe bill.gates@apple.com … you get the picture. Someone has already got those email addresses, but I bet that – for a price – they’d sell them.

So there you have it. I could be like a broker; you contact me and tell me
what email address you want, and I broker the deal. It can’t possibly fail!

This time next year Rodney, we’ll be millionaires!

PS – please don’t point out that all I’ll do is send an email to the email address you want to buy, and that there’s nothing stopping you doing that yourself. That’s really not getting into the spirit of it. Anyway, with a bit of borrowed cash I can always start buying up a few choice email accounts myself first. So lend us a tenner please.
